It's been awhile, but we still have bees! Five colonies alive and looking strong. one died in December. We used inch and a half insulation this year and I think that really helped. Looks like some critter had to see what the pink styro tasted like.

we plan to do splits on all hives if possible, but dont plan to keep more than 5 colonies at this time. We'll do mite counts as soon as weather permits, then plan to do some mite treatment. Excited about the pissibility of extended release OA, if that becomes available.
